REGIONAL
SERVICE DIRECTOR YOUTH EDUCATIONAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM (YEEP) & SHORT TERM YOUTH
EXCHANGE (STYE)
Do
you know the difference between the YEEP & STYE program?
The difference as I understand
is that one the YEEP program affords the sons and daughters of Y’s Men the
opportunity of living with a foreign Y’s Men’s family and for a Y’s Men’s family
to experience the joy of hosting a foreign student visit in their home while
attending school for up to a year.
However, our STYE program has the same aim except that the youths can
exchange visits for less than one year.
Earlier our region established the goal of getting at least one student to live
and study in our region and for our region to have a student study in another
country. So for, we appear not to
even have any hits toward obtaining the goal.
The same goal for our STYE program without any luck.
Please assist your RSD/YEEP/STYE by submitting to me at address listed below fro
each district the names of prospective student applicants and/or the names and
address of a prospective host families as of January 15, 2002.
Happy Holidays
McKinley Johnson, RSD/YEEP/STYE
